San Francisco Science Teacher Toni Brand, PhD
Based in San Francisco, California, Toni Brand, PhD, has served the Mount Tamalpais School in Mill Valley as a seventh and eighth-grade science teacher, as well as a seventh-grade advisor, since 2019. Her classroom responsibilities involve the planning and presentation of lessons that explore various chemical, physical, and biological sciences. She completed her education and training as a member of the University of California, San Francisco, Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery as part of the post-doctoral staff. She performed extensive advanced cancer research while training in San Francisco and received a post-doctoral fellowship from the American Cancer Society.
